Seniors Party!!!! DEC 19th 2008

First of all I would like for you all to meet Fran (in the red) and Sandy(in the black). Sandy was the one telling everyone about what we did and how we received blankets from all over the country. I was NOT suppose to be up there as they knew I was to scared to do it and of course look where I ended up at! Can you tell I am scared? LOL
You see all the bags on the floor? these are our Lapghans, part of them:)

Next I would like for you to meet the Birthday kids! The gentleman is 96 years young and the Lady is 84! Sorry I forgot to get their names

Look at all the people that showed up! I was a little surprised since the weather was so bad

It had started raining the night before and just keep raining! But it didn't stop the party:)

No way they were all here and wanting to get down and party with Santa and do a little Dancing also:)

They all look so happy now. and everyone keep coming up to me and saying thank you, thank you, thank you! and just could not believe that people all over the country would do this for them!! It really was Amazing and with out all of you this would never have been Possible.

Now of course no Christmas Party would be complete without telling Santa what we want for Christmas:) You know what I wished for?? For each and every one of you to have a very Blessed and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hugs,
sissie

Oh, Sissie, thank you for posting the photos of the Senior's party, and we finally get to see YOU, too!! I'm so glad that everyone was so happy with their afghans. It is so cold here, I hope that everyone there is keeping warm. I have almost three afghans made for VJGC. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and Happy Holidays, too! Love you!

This entry brought tears to my eyes and I was not even a part of it. But the joy that was spread around that room that day will be remembered by each person all year long. Thanks from me to you also for putting forth all the efforts you did in putting this all together. And to all those who participated in making it all possible. You are a very special group of ladies with huge giving hearts. I will be a part of the VJGC.
